Human capital is the distinguishing element in the life of a company: the management of staff has established itself as a overall strategy to produce value, to increase the potential of resources and translate it into skills and behaviours coherent with the organization’s identity.
Human Resources development is a process that is activated to face contingent and defined problems or to set up a management paradigm supporting and connoting the organization and its specificity.
Specific activities will be aimed at the preliminary analysis of company objectives (strategies, plans, address, etc.) and at internal and external requirements the development of resources must refer to.
On the basis of this analysis, activities such as the following may be promoted:
• assessment of positions, performance, potential
• definition of career plans and pay policies
• climate analysis
• recruiting and training
The conclusion of the process may lead to the transferral of know-how through the structuring of guidelines and intervention plans and/or the direct implementation of plans developed with those in charge of the organization.
